500 and 500S Design Change - Bridges/Sleeves/Star Drag Info

IMPORTANT CHANGE FOR 500 and 500S Reels

Bridge Thread Change
These were gradually converted over to all fine-thread parts. See Table below for changes.

Older parts are still available if you prefer to keep the coarse thread design (Use 3-500 for coarse thread, either reel). Just make sure you order the corresponding star to go with bridge or sleeve.

The change to the 500L reel appears to have happened when they started making the reels overseas, but Penn may have made the change before that. Estimated around 2004.
