Early Run 965 Reels
The first run(s) of these reels contained a different gear setup:

The idler gear is the most distinctive - the 64-965 was a plastic gear with an attached small brass gear, O.D. measures 1.078 inches overall. The current 64M-965 is entirely made of plastic, and O.D. measures 1.1 inches. Picture of newer idler gear below.
If you have the original plastic/brass idler gear, and need to replace ANY of the three pieces, you will need to order all three parts:

- Worm Shaft 42M-965
- Spool Gear Click Ratchet 66M-965
